Go looking for a lacrosse hoodie and you'll get pictures, prices and no numbers. Ours run heavyweight, 9 to 10 oz/yd² of cotton-poly, which is the weight that survives a February morning on a sideline in upstate New York and still works pulled over pads. The Heavyweight Drip Crew is the thickest thing we make at 70% cotton to 30% polyester, cut generous enough that the PDP tells you to size up if you want it oversized. Lighter is not always better here. A 6 oz hoodie is a t-shirt with a hood on it, and you'll know by the second quarter.

Fit, layering and sizing

XS through 3XL across the range. The cut is roomy enough to layer over a practice penny without pulling at the shoulders, and the fleece interior does the warmth work without the bulk that stops you cradling properly. Between sizes, take the larger one, because these are meant to sit loose. The crews run more generous again. Buying for a younger player, go to the youth hoodies rather than sizing down from XS, since the youth cut is proportioned differently rather than just smaller.

Care, and what actually kills a hoodie

Cold wash, inside out, and don't tumble it hot. The graphics survive that indefinitely; what wrecks a hoodie is a hot dryer shrinking the cotton and stiffening the print. Dye-washed Drip pieces will keep their cloud pattern through washing because the colour went into the fabric rather than onto it. A hoodie that lives in a gear bag will smell like a gear bag, which is a storage problem rather than a fabric one.
